About

Jimmy Wong is a Hong Kong-born architectural illustrator based in the UK, creating detailed pen and ink drawings of buildings, interiors, and places with a quiet sense of atmosphere.
Before becoming a full-time artist in 2024, Jimmy spent over ten years working in interior design, where he developed a deep understanding of space, light, proportion, and architectural detail. That background continues to shape his drawings today, balancing precision with softness, structure with memory.
Working mainly by hand with pen, ink, and wash, Jimmy’s practice is rooted in slow observation. His drawings often focus on the character of architecture: the rhythm of windows, the weight of shadows, the texture of old stone, and the overlooked details that give a place its feeling.
In 2025, Jimmy’s pen and ink drawing of Kowloon Walled City received the Hand-Drawn Award in the Archisource Drawing of the Year Awards, following a Highly Commended recognition in 2024 for his drawing of the Natural History Museum, London.
Through Jimmy Wong Studio, he releases a carefully selected collection of prints and original drawings, alongside bespoke commissions for private clients, collectors, publishers, and design studios.
